Cake Stencils

Cake stencils are a popular way of adding quick and easy decoration to a cake. There are two main type of stencils available today. The standard plastic stencils are often made of a thin plastic such as mylar. These are around 190 microns thick and generally opaque in colour. An intricate design is cut out in the stencil which can be placed on the cake and various methods to produce the finished design.

Mesh Cake Stencils

New mesh cake stencils are very popular as they are able to portray a much more detailed designs. The special material has different mesh sizes, so when royal icing is spread over the stencil is goes though certain areas of the stencil. Very intricate and complicated designs can be placed on your cake with these mesh stencils.
